Happy Hump Day! Today is another edition of The Beauty Buffs and today we’re all wearing pink! So many options when it comes to pink (one of my favourite colours). From fuchsia to petal pink – the sky is the limit when thinking pink. I have a new soft blush pink polish, 1992, from lacc beauty that I’ve been dying to try (see my previous Lacc review here) so I used this colour as my inspiration for my pink nails today.
I love the look of blush pink with white and rose gold so I chose two other polishes in these colours to complement lacc 1992 (essie blanc and penny talk), for my pink nails.
For my pink nails I decided to stay clear of any tape and worked with a striping brush from Born Pretty Store (use code SAYG10 for 10% off) and a small nail art brush to freehand the design.
Working with lacc beauty 1992 was not the easiest. As is with most pale cream shades, it is difficult to reach full opacity and at times the polish can look a little chalk-like. I did manage to get a fairly opaque coverage with two coats, but because I was creating nail art over the nails, I wasn’t too worried about the finish. The formula for 1992 was nowhere near as perfect as the other two lacc beauty polishes I tried.
When I showed my pink nails to my friend Michelle, from UnMoineau, she said my nails looked like Angelic Aztec! I love that name! I’m really happy with my pink nails and love how the rose gold aztec design turned out. What do you think?
Until next time,
