I promised you lots of fall nail polish collection reviews to swoon over and I wasn’t joking! Up next I have essie fall 2016 and, spoiler alert – these hues are beyond perfect.
Inspired by Tokyo, Japan’s electrical capital, the essie fall 2016 collection boasts a six shade palette of intense hues perfect for any fashionista.
The Swatches
All swatches below are shown with 2 coats and essie good to go top coat, unless otherwise stated.
Above: Udon Know Me is a light blue cream polish that covers perfectly in 2 coats. While you might not immediately think of this as a fall colour – I actually think it’s the perfect transition hue to help us switch from summer to fall.
Above: Go Go Geisha is a stunning grey lavender cream. essie calls this an ‘antique blossom pink’ which is a beautiful way to describe this extraordinary colour. Applied perfectly in two coats.
Above: Maki Me Happy is an intense crimson that looks very similar to CND Oxblood, another new hue for fall. Clearly the deep reds are where it’s at!
Above: Now and Zen is a sage grey cream polish that covers in 2 coats. This is definitely a new love of mine and is going to the top of my fall must-wear list.
Above: Playing Koi is a burnt orange that is another big colour for fall, being very close in shade to CND Brick Knit. As with the other polishes in the essie fall 2016 collection, Playing Koi applies flawlessly in 2 coats.
Above: Kimono Over is an intensely deep aubergine that is another favourite of mine in this collection. The best part? It’s a one-coater!

Kimono Over… to me! (obvious, I know, but hey – I’m in mani-lust!)
Good choice!
I saw Go-Go Geisha and bought it immediately. I just applied it and it is perfection. A very unique and beautiful color.
I love that colour sooo much!!! I’m glad you do too.
