There’s nothing like finding the perfect beauty product that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. While I covet many of my luxe beauties, I always feel good when I find a drugstore beauty product that works just as well, or sometimes, even better than the high priced alternative.
Below are my ‘cannot live without’ drugstore beauty products that hit Nail That Accent Headquarters in the last few months and have been tested and loved (and will definitely be replaced when finished).
L’Oreal Paris Root Cover Up
You know those pesty roots that pop up in-between colouring? This lightweight spray is available in a range of colours that perfectly matches and blends with your hair for a root-free look in just 3 seconds! It doesn’t smudge, run or leave a sticky residue when dry. It dries in seconds and lasts one shampoo. It’s also ammonia-free and deosn’t have any sythetic dyes. $13.49 CAD
Maybelline Brow Drama Pro Kit
I have problem eyebrows (over-tweezing anyone?). I refuse to turn to cosmetic tattoos so I’m reliant on good makeup products to help. I love this sculpting wax and filling powder. It’s comparable to Benefit’s Brow Zings – at a third of the price! $12.99 CAD
Garnier SkinActive Skin Renew BB Cream+Blur
BB Cream+Blur is a gorgeous moisturizer with a slight tint. Formulated with a hint of primer and enriched with Vitamin C*, mineral pigments and light reflectors, you don’t need to wear anything else to achieve photo perfect skin. $15.99 CAD
Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Eye Pencil
I’m always looking for that perfect eyeliner that allows me to create the perfect line. This waterproof twist-up automatic gel eye pencil features a micro tip for sharp, precise application and it actually stays where you put it! $9.99 CAD
NYC New York Color Get It All Foundation
This on-the-go stick foundation is the perfect addition to your makeup bag. It’s small and compact while providing long last-ing and illuminating coverage. $5.99 CAD.
Revlon Mascara Collection
I’m always on the lookout for a better mascara and I’m seriously impressed with Revlon’s 5 mascaras that focus on 5 different needs: volume, length, drama, all-in-one, magnified + length. The mascaras can easily be recognized by their bright coloured tops. $10.99 CAD
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
By far my favourite product over the last six months is this clea miracle, I mean micellar water (I have 2 back-ups)! It cleanses, removes makeup and refreshes all in one! $9.99 CAD
NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Eyeshadow Palette
For a drugstore eyeshadow palette that costs a mere $7.97 – this neutral palette is everything and makes for the perfect Urban Decay Naked back-up any day of the week.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Looking for a flawless matte finish in this hot and sweaty weather? I love this powder as it really helps minimize the appearance of pores and gives me a nice even, natural-looking, coverage. $9.99 CAD
Olay Fresh Effects Hydrating Gel Mosturizer
I’m in love with this lightweight moisturizing gel. This special moisturizer is formulated with a powder that helps it absorb quickly making skin look less oily. $12.99 CAD
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Gloss
While Kylie, Anastasia and Kat Von D all make an awesome matte gloss, the infallible pro matte gloss is right up there in quality and is less than half the price of these luxe alternatives! Available in 10 highly pigmented, long lasting shades, I have one of these in every one of my bags! $12.99 CAD
Do you love a good drugstore beauty find? If you enjoyed this post, let me know as I’m thinking of starting a monthly series on the best drugstore beauty products.
