When looking for pure luxury in a makeup collection, you don’t have to look any further than YSL Couture Splash Collection for summer. As a lipstick junkie, there is nothing better than finding the perfect lipgloss. Today I have a problem – I’ve found 7 of them!

These lipglosses ($38 CAD) offer a dewy finish with a serious amount of colour pop. Pop Water in 200 Plump Up (far right above) is a lip plumper that that has an invigorating and hydrating formula that helps plump up your lips. Kim Kardashian who? Yes that’s right – plump up your lips without surgery – genius! You can wear this shade on its own or layer it with one of the other Pop Water Glossy Stains.

There are six perfectly gorgeous shades ranging from a soft pink, to a coral red. These glosses are shimmer free and look perfect with either a neutral eye for daytime, or, paired with a smokey eye for night. They can also be layered over your favourite lipstick for a serious amount of intensity. While there are a total of 12 in the collection, I’m showing you 6 of the 12: 201: Dewy Red, 202: Rouge Splash, 203: Eae De Corail, 204: Onde Rose, 205: Pink Rain, and 206: Misty Pink. While dewy red is much more pink on my skin tone, than red, I think this is definitely my favourite in the collection. 205: Pink Rain is the perfect every day red. 202: Rouge Splash has the right amount of red with a gorgeous orange undertone to it.

While these pop water glosses from the YSL Couture Splash Collection will make you stop in your tracks and make you rearrange your makeup collection to make room for them, the collection continues to wow with with beautiful metallic liquid eyeshadows.

Available in 10 shades ($32 CAD), today I’m showing you 3 of the metal shadows. No 1: Grey Splash, No 9: Misty Green and No 3: Taupe Drop.

These shadows need to be layered to reach full intensity and when they do – watch out as they are seriously intense. I think Urban Decay may have some competition with these gorgeous micro glitters! The formula is soft and creamy and easy to build. After testing all shades, I found they didn’t crease, even when I didn’t wear a primer!

Finally, but certainly not least is one of the four lacquers included in the YSL Couture Splash Collection: No. 64: Fuchsia Rain ($27 CAD), a sheer pink that may just be be the new neutral for the season.  Sexy meets sophisticated with this gorgeous pink. The formula is much less sticky than OPI Color Paints or Sheer Tints. Shown above with three coats and no top coat.

This collection is available now at all YSL Beauty counters across Canada, Sephora and sephora.com, The Bay and thebay.com and Holt Renfrew. Find more information via yslbeautyus.com
