Do you remember the good old days in junior school where our parents bought cute mini Valentine’s cards that we handed out to our classmates? I had many a crush in those days and remember hoping and praying that I would get a Valentine from that special boy. Actually, thinking back to it, perhaps I have my rose-tinted spectacles on…maybe it wasn’t as cute as I remember….kids counting how many Valentine’s cards they got, others being left out. Oh well…..onto another life time and many many years later.
Who is your Valentine this year? Some of us love Valentine’s Day, others of us think of it as a silly commercialized day….either way Valentine’s Day is drawing near. Whether or not you choose to embrace Valentine’s Day with open arms, or avoid it altogether (I don’t blame you), I see no reason why we can’t paint our nails with creative Valentine’s nail art dedicated just to US for being US.
Today I played with gold, white, pink and black to create this look. I used OPI “Mod About You”, Motives Cosmetics “Wedding Dress” and Essie “Licorice” to achieve this look. To create the negative space heart, I simply dipped a nail art brush in acetone and slowly (emphasize SLOWLY) worked my way to create a small heart. I then used topcoat to attach the micro caviar beads to create an outline for the heart.
I hope you enjoyed this Valentine’s nail art.
Until next time,
