I believe that a gal can never own too many blushes, or lipsticks, or eyeshadows, or nail polish, or handbags, or shoes. Ok I’ll stop while I’m ahead! My motto goes – if it fits you no matter what size you are, you can never have too many!
I wanted to share with you my two favourite blush palettes that I’ve been using for the last few months.
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Collection
This palette was part of the Gwen Stefani Limited Edition Collection for Urban Decay that was released back in January 2016. The design of the palette is similar to the gorgeous embossed gold and white packaging of the eyeshadow palette from the collection (which by the way is on sale for 50% off at Sephora right now!)
Inspired by Gwen’s glowing contoured skin, the six versatile shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter are all items that she can’t live without (and now, neither can I!). All in an 8-hour classic Urban Decay formula, these six products are perfect!
- Cherry: light pink satin
- Easy: deep rose with gold shimmer
- Angel: champagne-nude shimmer
- Lo-Fi: soft bronze-matte
- Hush: medium pink with gold shimmer
- OC: Soft Pink with peach shift
Benefit Cosmetics Cheekathon
This gorgeous limited edition palette of blushes contains 5 FULL-SIZE best sellers from Benefit Cosmetics as well as a compact powder brush.
- Dandelion: rosy bronze radiant finish
- Hoola: soft bronze-matte bronzer
- Rockateur: powder blush with a shimmer finish
- Dallas: soft bronze-matte
- CORALista: coral pink sheen
Never Been a Blush Wearer?
If you’ve never been a blush wearer I would highly recommend testing them out. The key to finding the right shade for you is not only in the shade itself, but also in the application. Ensure you’re smiling so that the apples of your cheeks look silly and swipe the blush softly over top. You’re smiling right now, aren’t you? Build the product slowly remember that less is more. Experiment with all types of tones from corals to pinks and you’ll be surprised at the different effect each blush can have.
