I’m not a huge fan of green when it comes to makeup and nail polish, however, I don’t hold back when it comes to St. Patrick’s Day nails!
Decisions, decisions, decisions, what greens to use? I got these cute little gold and green shamrock vinyls from Snail Vinyls, so I knew that these would have to be included in my St. Patrick’s Day Nails somehow. I couldn’t decide between two designs so today I’ll show you both. Please let you let me know which ones you like better in the comment section at the end of this post.
No need for elegance or beauty when it comes to St. Patrick’s Day nails – if there is any day to be bold and maybe even a little tacky with your nails, St. Patrick’s Day is the day to do it.
For my first St. Patrick’s Day nails I used:
gold striping tape
CND Vinylux Lush Tropics
CND Vinylux Locket Love
Pretty Serious Swatch and Learn
Snail Vinyls: gold and green shamrock nail decals
I played around with a little mix & mach and this is what I ended up with.
For my second St. Patrick’s nails I used:
a striping brush
essie mojito madness
essie good as gold
revlon colorstay gel envy In The Money
same nail decals as above
I first polished all my nails with essie mojito madness. Then I used a striping brush to polish the triangular shapes with revlon colorstay gel envy In The Money. Finally I used a thinner striping brush to apply essie good as gold as an outline to the design. I finished by applying the shamrock nail decals and applying a topcoat.
Which is your favourite of the two St. Patrick’s Day Nails?
Until next time,
