Urban Decay does it again with more brilliant must-have products! I don’t know what it is about Urban Decay – but I must have every single thing in the line. Ever since my first experience years ago with Urban Decay eyeshadow primer, or my coveted Naked 1 palette, its been a match made in heaven. Suffice to say that Urban Decay is one of my favourite makeup brands.
Today I’m showcasing a few new products that hit the shelves this April:
- Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter
- Urban Decay Beached Bronzer
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil
- Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil
I’m overly obsessed with a good highlighter, and ever since I purchased my favourite – Becca x Jaclyn Hill, I really haven’t been in the market for anything else…but when Urban Decay’s new launch includes highlighters – clearly I have to take a peek.First things first – the packaging is stunning. The custom compact with the fishnet “UD” cutout on the lid, makes this product standout from any other. Similar to the 8-hour blushes, but in a lighter coloured compact – the Urban Decay 8 hour highlighters look chic.Available in three shades (left to right: Aura, Fireball and Sin) – these highlighters are absolutely stunning. All three were inspired by bestselling Urban Decay shadows (how cool is that?). Though I love all three, my favourite is definitely Aura which is the perfect iridescent light pink that looks gorgeous on the bridge of your nose, brow bone and corners of your eyes to really brighten your face.
Do they last 8 hours as promised? I definitely still had colour after 6!
Urban Decay Beached Bronzer
Life really isn’t complete without the perfect bronzer, and every spring/summer season there is always something new to try.Available in two shades (Sun-Kissed shown here) and Bronzed, a darker matte bronzer, one thing is certain – this packaging is so cool! The compact has a beautiful beachy artwork on the cover and opens up to show a full sized mirror. Urban Decay Beached Bronzer is much more dimensional than others I’ve tried and looks great to help blend in your contouring.
24/7 Glide-On & Waterline Eye Pencils
These two multi-purpose moisturizing pencils are absolute essential for any beauty lover. Why? Each one can be used in so many ways.
Heartless (light frosted pink), looks amazing on the inner corner of your eye, under your brow, smudged as a highlighter or anywhere else you need brightening.
Walk of Shame (nude) can be used on all places you use Heartless, but it really looks great on the inner rim of the waterline to help give you an instant eye-opening effect. Apparently it can also be used as a concealer if you’re fair enough – though I have a bit of a tan so it’s too light for me at the moment to test that theory out.
I am thrilled to welcome these new additions to my make-up bag. In fact, I’m so obsessed with the Afterglow highlighters, that now I’m dying to try Urban Decay’s Afterglow Blush that I’ve heard fantastic things about. The bronzer lives up to its incredible packaging and the 2 24/7 pencils are fantastic additions to my daily eye makeup routine.
