Holiday nail art is one of my favorite types. There are so many possibilities – from cutesy to elegant, from Santa to Snowflakes. I’ve had an image in my mind for a while of doing some non-traditional snowflake nails with some warmer pink tones. I know I’m jumping to the last prompt in N.A.I.L for December, but that’s the best part of the challenge – you can follow the prompts in any order you want!
With the image of warm, lucsious pinks in my mind, I immediately was drawn to playing with the essie winter collection again including the luxe effects.
I used the following polishes from the essie winter 2014 collection for my snowflake nails:
- jiggle hi, jiggle low
- jump in my jumpsuit
- bump up the bumps
- back in the limo
- luxe effects rock at the top
I first polished my nails white with Glam Polish Snow White as my base for my ombre on all my fingers but my pinky. On my pinky I polished first with jiggle hi, jiggle low and then applied rock at the top over the gold.
I used a makeup sponge to sponge on the ombre of my snowflake nails using jump in my jumpsuit, back in the limo and bump up the bumps. I then applied a fast drying topcoat (Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat) before using jiggle hi, jiggle low to stamp on the snowflakes using Winstonia store stamp 120.
I love the results of these snowflake nails – holiday-esque but elegant at the same time. What do you think?
PS – have you entered into my contest to win an Erin Condren Life Planner? You have another week. More giveaways to come!
Until next time,
