Happy Mani Monday! For those who read my Saturday OPI Infinite Shine Swatches, you will be aware of the tragic death of my middle nail. To celebrate the re-birth of my short nails, I’ve created a nail art design that I think only suits short nails for #manimonday!
Using three colours from the essie fall collection (see swatches and review HERE), I created some negative space nail art. Don’t you think this negative space look would have been too much on my super long nails? Yuck. So I will embrace my shorties and play with some nailart ideas that just don’t suit long nails.
I created my two accent nails using some right angle stencils from from SNAIL VINYLS.
One tip for using matte top coat: always use a regular topcoat first (preferably a fast dry top coat) and then apply your matte top coat. If you apply matte topcoat directly over your nail art, chances are that it will smudge.
So I bow down to all my nailphiles who have awesome shorties and make them work. I hope you’ll be ok if I jump on your bandwagon.
Until next time,

Wonderful polishes and the negative space design came out lovely!
Thank you so much xo
I have so many breaks all the time that nubbies are my norm. This is a great design for short nails! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Lara! At least they don’t get in the way of everyday life
#nubbinsforlife I always say 🙂
U make them look sooooo good
You make your shorties look amazing! I have been putting off showing my nails on the blog because I had pretty bad breaks on every nail, but you are inspiring me to show them off again!
