Day 26/31 for the OMD3 Nail Art Challenge and today’s prompt is PEACE NAIL ART. Last night I watched Almost Famous, a film set in the 1960s and 70s about a teenage wanna be rock and roll journalist who is given the opportunity to write and article for Rolling Stone Magazine. He tours around with a band and its groupies learning the real inside scoop of rock & roll. The film was made back in 2000 and features some pretty big names: Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP), Frances McDormand, Kate Hudson, Jason Lee and Anna Paquin. If you never caught the film way back when, I would highly recommend it. It’s a fun netflix flick for a Saturday night. I’ve wanted to see this film for years, but somehow never managed to. Anyway, it was the perfect film to get me in the mood for some PEACE NAIL ART!
For my peace nail art I used a variety of neon polishes from China Glaze and did a little mix & match.
I’ve never tried to do tie dye nail art before, so I attempted this on my middle finger, and I think it turned out pretty well.
I played around with a glossy top coat at first, and then I applied a matte top coat, which I think I prefer.
I think this is an easy mix and match design to honour Almost Famous and to enter for my Day 26 of the challenge!
