After reviewing and swatching the new OPI neons released this month (see REVIEW HERE), and feeling a little ‘iffy’ on the new OPI white base coat, I decided that no review could be complete without test driving a new collection with some nail art. Today’s post, therefore is all about creating nail art with OPI neons!
I had fun trying out the OPI neons in two different nail art designs.
The first is a geometric french tip. Since OPI neons are designed to go over a white basecoat, I thought it would be fun to create a multi-colored abstract french manicure. I love how this look turned out! Fun, summery and fashion-forward.
Next, I created an abstract design, again using white as my base (I used OPI “Alpine Snow”). I painted a few strokes with various colors from the OPI neons collection and topped it with some black acrylic paint using a striper brush. This nail art design is the perfect trendy and avant garde look for the summer. Abstract, without looking messy.
I have to say, that for nail art over white, OPI neons were extremely easy to work with. I was really happy with both of the designs, and these are definitely manicures I’ll be wearing this summer.
Until next time,
