With summer coming to an end, it’s never too late to play with beautiful summer nail polishes! I know I’m behind, but today I am finally able to show you swatches of the beautiful OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015 nail polishes.
With 12 polishes in total, I wanted to show you these quickly so I had my friend, Michelle at UnMoineau help me out. I swatched the first six polishes above and she swatched the second six. See here swatches and review HERE. Michelle’s an awesome nail polish swatcher (with a serious OPI obsession) so make sure to check her out. You can follow her instagram HERE.
I have to say, out of the six polishes I reviewed, I found the formulas very thick and hard to work with. As you know, OPI Infinite Shine is designed to be long lasting, if worn with the special primer and top coat. That said, clearly there has to be a different formula from the regular OPI polishes so understandably the polishes are thicker. Do beware, however, any cuticle flooding or mistakes and essentially you have to start over. Despite the difficulty I had with the polishes, I found with three thin coats, the end result was beautiful and the longevity of the polish (6 days no chipping), was worth it.
Let’s check out the swatches.
LAVENDURABLE is a beautiful lilac pastel polish. You can never go wrong with lilac, and I’m sure in love with this beauty.
BEE MINE FOREVER (love the cheesy OPI names) is a beautiful sunny yellow. I wish I broke this out earlier on in the season, because it really is a beauty.
*** CAUTION: SERIOUS SADNESS ALERT ***
In the middle of swatching OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015, my darn chocolate lab killed my nail 🙁 RIP dear middle nail. Oh well, life goes on, it’s only a nail right? It will grow back. Besides, fall colours look better on shorties, don’t they? Please excuse the lack of consistency in photos below due to my unfortunate breakage.
TO BE CONTINUED…is a gorgeous sky blue. It’s a really beautiful warm blue.
A soft lighter blush purple, PATIENCE PAYS OFF is another favourite of mine from this OPI Infinite Shine Summer Collection.
YOU’RE BLUSHING AGAIN is a blush pink that looks different depending on the light source. The first photo above shows YOU’RE BLUSHING AGAIN in artificial light and the second photo shows how much cooler this hue looks in natural light.
Finally, but certainly not least is S-AGELESS BEAUTY is a really beautiful mint/pistachio green. Another favourite of mine that I will definitely be wearing well into the fall.
So there you have it, long to short nails, a new blog to follow and some beautiful swatches from OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015!
PS – how do you feel about short nails?
Until next time,
