Happy Friday! Depsite the fact that it was a short week for me (with Canada Day being July 1st), I’m exhausted and this day could not have come fast enough. I embrace you my dear weekend.
The girls and I are so thrilled with how the OMD3 31 Nail Art Challenge is going. After just two days there are already so many entries from all over the world – keep it up! Remember there are only 2 steps: 1 – enter your picture in the inlinkz and then step 2: enter into the raffle. You must do this for each prompt that you complete.
Onto day 3 of the challenge – Silver Nails!
Before I show you my silver nails, I want to show you a new polish in my collection, Revlon 905 sophisticated, which I think is my new favourite grey. This polish has silver mico glitter suspended throughout and it’s beautifully understated as you can see in this swatch.
This polish reached full opacity with two coats and is shown here without a topcoat.
So, there you have it – the perfect base for my silver nails!
When I think of silver, I automatically think of my go-to silver nail polish, essie no place like chrome, so I knew I somehow had to include this in my nail art. To create my silver nails I was inspired by my gorgeous silver vertex necklace from Muizee Shop.I used Bundlemonster , to create the geometric design.
I thought I would use this challenge to learn a few new skills and stamping is definitely one of them (I’m terrible at stamping and am much better at freehand nail art). Above you can see stamping lesson #1 – wait until the stamping polish is completely dry before you apply topcoat (as is evident on my ring finger…oops).
I liked the idea of an accent nail so I used essie blanc as the base on my index finger.
What do you think?
Until next time,
