Day 23/31 for the Oh Mon Dieux Nail Art Challenge and today’s prompt is: NEGATIVE SPACE NAILS.
Negative space has been a major trend in the nail art world for 2014 and I don’t see it going anywhere soon. Negative space nails are actually one of my favorite techniques because I love the versatility that the negative space can create. Bold reds and burgundies can be sexy and dramatic, whereas soft pinks and whites can be understated and pretty.
Today I went with understated and pretty to create my negative space nails.
Polishes Used:
- Motive Costmetics: Wedding Dress
- Sephora by OPI: Seeing Pink Elephants
- Micro Beads: from Claire’s
- Barbie applique: from Make it Stick Designs
The negative space was created using a small nail art brush and acetone to wipe away the polish in the shape of a heart (on the ring finger) and for a frame (on the index finger).
Until next time,
