Today’s prompt for the OMD3 Nail Art Challenge is #mynailsandmydrink.

For those ‘normal’ (in otherwords non-obsessed non-nailphile non-social media junkies) this is a common hashtag (#) you will see floating around social media outlets (especially Instagram).

As if it weren’t weird enough to take close up pictures of our nails, now we’re taking pictures of our nails and our drink? Yep – it’s a thing…

While I lived in London, UK for 7 years, I developed a taste for tea…a cuppa, as the Brits would call it.  A good cup of Yukon Gold (my favourite type of black tea) definitely helps start me off on the right foot in the morning.

I have a collection of china tea cups that were my grandmothers, so I used one of my favourite tea cups as my inspiration for #mynailsandmydrink.

For the base I used China Glaze Sea-ing Blue which came in a mini collection of 4 (Ticket to Paradise Collection) this summer.tea time, #mynailsandmydrink, color club ticket to paradise, color club sea-ing blue, tea cup nails, china nails, china nail art, tea cup nail art tea time, #mynailsandmydrink, color club ticket to paradise, color club sea-ing blue, tea cup nails, china nails, china nail art, tea cup nail art

For the details I used acrylic paint and some gold striping tape.

Elegant, yet soft and pretty. Me likey 🙂

Until next time,
