For those who have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I’m a lipstick junkie and that I’m also a sucker for gorgeous packaging.
Today’s theme for the OMD3 Nail Art Challenge is: LIPSTICK – a no brainer for me.
If you’re a makeup addict like me, you’ll be well aware of the MAC Wash and Dry Collection that launched late spring. For those not overly obsessed with makeup, you may be just as intrigued in this collection as those who are, simply because the ombre, metallic packaging is so fantastic.
For today’s nail art, I used my MAC Wash & Dry lipstick as inspiration.
MAC Wash and Dry Lipstick in: MORANGE is a stunning bold, bright orange with red undertones. Its colour payoff is fantastic, and it lasted on me for four hours! Its creamy texture is definitely a 10/10 for me.
So let’s get to the nailart….To achieve the metallic gradient, I used the yellow, orange and teal from the new OPI Color Paints collection (yay I found the perfect use for the silver base coat).
I think my Wash and Dry lipstick nails turned out pretty well, don’t you?
Until next time,

Your gradient is awesome!! I am not a huge MAC fan but I seriously considered buying something from the collection just because of that packaging! 🙂
I know the packaging is to die for
This is so pretty! I love your inspiration 🙂
Thank you so much
Oh so exact!
Beautiful – when I saw the display at the Mac counter I was just like *touchy touchy shiny* – the ombré packaging is the highlight!
Thanks so much Catherine. Totally touchy touchy shiny!
