LVX is a socially responsible and vegan-friendly luxury nail polish brand, produced in the USA. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to test and play with the LVX Summer 2015 collection and (spoiler alert) – beautiful perfection!
LVX polishes are intended to be long lasting, chip resistant and gel-like while at the same time free of harsh chemicals (such as Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene and Camphor). If you’re looking for a vegan friendly brand, then look no further.
Let’s have a look at the swatches. If you can believe, these polishes are so shiny that I didn’t even use a topcoat for the photos! All swatches are shown with two coats unless otherwise stated.
Caicos
Is this sky blue not perfect? I could wear this everyday. In fact, this is the inspiration for some nailart I’m working on (coming soon).
Paraiso
Ok maybe I like this blue even better. Is that possible? I’m so in love with the creamy formula and ease of application of these polishes. The self-leveling properties are fantastic.
Avenal
This hue is a little challenging to photograph. It’s a minty/pistachio shade and it’s beautiful.
Damask
This deep orange is perfect for a summer/fall pedicure. I absolutely love the intensity of the colour.
Currant
This blue purple is eye catching and fierce and I think would look gorgeous as the main feature in some negative space nailart. What do you think?
Shiraz
When I first saw that there were two purples in the LVX Summer 2015 Collection, I thought that seemed a bit much…until I tried them. They’re certainly different from one another but both are gorgeous and intense. Shiraz is much warmer in hue than Currant.
If you haven’t tried LVX polishes before, I highly recommend them and the LVX Summer 2015 Collection certainly has something for everyone. Currently I’m on day 5 with no chipping (I’m wearing Avenal). You can purchase LVX polishes from their online shop, or visit one of their retailers.
