As much as I love fashion and buying new clothes, there’s usually one major problem…my weight fluctuates a lot, which means that sometimes shopping can be soul destroying! I’ve mentioned it before, but do you know what makeup, nail polish, shoes and handbags all have in common?
They always fit!
Perhaps that’s why I have a love for fantastic shoes, handbags, nail polish and makeup!
My sister loaned me these awesome blue suede Christian Louboutin booties (are they not fabulous?). Since I don’t have any of the coveted Louboutin nail polishis (you can shed a tear for me now), I decided that I would create Christian Louboutin nails for the May #naillinkup theme: Most Expensive Polish.
For this look I used two new nail polishes: MAC {Monday Blues} from the new Wash and Dry Collection ($13.50 US/ $15.50 CAD) and Lacc Beauty {1945} ($12.95 CAD). To achieve the suede look, I used essie {matte about you} top coat.
I have to say that the new MAC polish is beautiful. The formula is creamy and perfect and it gives perfect coverage in two coats.
While the formula of the polish is fantastic, I can’t help but be a sucker for the awesome packaging as well. Isn’t the lid fab? The whole collection really looks great (stay tuned for some MAC Wash and Dry inspired nails).
Ok – so let’s look at the Louboutin Nails!
I really love how these turned out. My nails have never been this long, so it’s really not until now that I’ve been able to create Louboutin nails!
Until next time,

Beautiful!
thanks lovely xo
These are awesome!
thanks so much. I had fun doing them
I got to do Louboutin nails once – it’s so fun and sexy. I love that you did your to match those blue heels, instead of the standard black 🙂
yeah I really wanted to do something fun that wasn’t black…since it’s spring and all…
Oooh, that mani is gorgeous! I love the red undersides. I can’t imagine how you get it painted under there without looking like a crime scene for CSI or something, but it is beautiful. And, as otherwise mentioned, I love that you have the blue suede for a top mani. Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble not only to do this mani, but to share it with us!
Lara – thank you so much. Yes, it was a little like a crime scene, I’m not going to lie. Clean up was careful, efficient and major! Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
I think the MAC Wash and Dry Collection has the prettiest packaging! I didn’t see any other reviews on the polish — glad you did, lovely mani 🙂
Hi Chelsea – it’s so damn beautiful that I had two prodcuts sent to me for review, and I immediately went out and puchased two more!!!! The polish only comes in two colors – this blue and a teal which is also really pretty.
