I had never heard of LCN nail polish, until I attended the ABA show in Toronto in April and stumbled upon this incredible nail polish line that has a huge array of nail products ranging from nail polish to two different types of gel polish to body care and other products.
The post is long overdue, as this is the LCN spring collection (I will post their summer collection soon), but with the hot weather, busy work days and nail art challenges to plan (see the OMD2 challenge here), I finally present to you four beautiful polishes.
LCN, originally from Germany, is a nail polish line that is sold throughout the world.
A little bit of history:
As the world’s third leading manufacturer of cosmetic nail products, the success and reputation of LCN is based on a long history of providing exciting, innovative breakthroughs to the world of cosmetic science.
A Proud History… When Wilde Dental was founded in 1914, few knew that these pioneering German researchers in dental resin would make such a lasting impact in the beauty industry. But in 1985, Wilde Cosmetics GmbH was established to bring the same quality, durability and beauty of composite resin systems to fingernail cosmetics. The result? LCN, a revolutionary line of light-cured products designed to seal, correct, lengthen and beautify fingernails. The first of its kind in Europe, this system provided a non-acrylic alternative to conventional nail cosmetics, providing longer lasting and infinitely more beautiful results.
… and the Future of Beauty LCN USA brings this European beauty secret to America’s fingertips. And today, the LCN line has expanded to include even more natural nail, hand, foot, body and spa products. Still, every LCN beauty product remains the result of careful research, educated industry professionals, and a flawless eye for the future of beauty and fashion. Like the products that bear its name, LCN continues to break new ground in the beauty industry, while its quality still stands the test of time. (source)
Nature Poetry Collection
Pink Butterfly
A stunning pink that is shown here with two coats (no topcoat). The shine is brilliant and the application and self leveling qualities of this polish are perfect.
Pebble Stone
A stone, neutral grey – pebble stone is a stunning shade for all occasions. The quality of this polish was perfect as well and is shown here with two coats (no top coat).
Frosted Rain
An understated shimmery blue, this polish is the perfect baby shower or wedding hue for the spring and summer. Missing a blue pastel from your collection? Make sure you pick this frosted delight up.
Nature Poetry
Similar, but a little darker to CND Vinylux Clay Canyon, Nature Poetry is a creamy natural terracotta color. It’s certainly a great sping/summer and fall shade as far as I am concerned. On my skin tone, I don’t think this color is ideal, but I think this color would look great on those with a darker, or very pale skin tone.
I had fun trying out these colors and was really impressed with the LCN formula. I’m excited to swatch their summer line soon. What’s your favourite color in this collection? Have you tried LCN nail polish?
