I always love experimenting with nail polish brands that I’ve never tried before. Though I’m an essie and OPI lover, there’s always room in my helmer…(I mean heart) for smaller, less well known brands.
Dermelect Cosmeceuticals is a family-owned cosmetics company that’s mission is to provide real solutions for women experiencing changes in her appearance. I love that their website actually allows you to SHOP BY CONCERN (e.g. anti-aging skin care, anti-aging nail care, skin solutions & total body). How cool is that? One of the company’s innovations is ‘ME’ – peptide-infused anti-aging color treatment nail lacquers.
‘ME’- The 1st Peptide Infused, Anti-Aging Color Treatment Lacquers
- strengthens weak, brittle nails
- restores flexibility
- helps resist chipping and splitting
- superior extended wear
- water and detergent resistant
- UV protected
- DBP, Toluene & Formaldehyde free
- cruelty free (no animal testing, ever!)
I’ve swatched the new HOLIDAY set of nail lacquers that are available now as a set of 4 for $29 USD, directly from the Dermelect website.
ABOVE: SLEIGH ‘ME’ ARCTIC SHIMMER
While this polish looks more white, rather than gold in the bottle, once applied in 2 coats you’re met with a beautiful golden holiday sparkle. I applied 2 coats to achieve full opacity.
ABOVE: HOLD ‘ME’ SPARKLED MIDNIGHT NOIR
My fave in the winter collection, this sparkly black is truly unique. This is the only polish that I tested for longevity (I wore it for five days and I didn’t get any chipping)!
ABOVE: THRILL ‘ME’ FROSTED EVERGREEN
What a perfect christmas green. This polish has a glossy satin finish to it and applies like a dream.
ABOVE: KISS ‘ME’ VELVET CRIMSON
A lush, sultry burgundy, this polish would look great with a cashmere sweater and your fave pair of jeans. Another satin glossy finish, this polish is actually a one-coater!
The Verdict?
Definitely an interesting concept of infusing nail polish with peptides to help with the anti-aging process of nails. I absolutely loved OPI Nail Envy Coloured Polishes, and these nail polishes seem to have a similar concept, but come in WAY more colours than OPI!
Until next time,
