I have a lot of friends and family who love what I do and think it’s really fun, but they would never be caught dead with nailart as part of their manicures (either it’s not their thing or they ‘think’ they are too conservative). I beg to differ. I think anyone can add nailart to their regular manicures, it just has to be done with taste and help accentuate that person.
Today I’ve tried to create some subtle nailart with a classic twist on a french manicure to show you that you don’t have to have crazy designs on your nails to add that special accent.
I was inspired by the gorgeous Kristin at lacquerstyle from her post a few days ago (see HERE) to use my Color Club Holographic polishes which I haven’t tried yet so I decided these would be the perfect accent for my neutral manicure. From left to right: Over the Moon, Cloud Nine, Eternal Beauty and Cherubic.
For the neutral element of my nailart, I chose another gorgeous natural color which should be in everyone’s nail polish collection: piCture pOlish Beige.
I applied three thin coats of piCture pOlish Beige and then once that was dry, I then applied extremely thin french tips with the Color Club holographic polishes. I finished this look off with my HK Girl Topcoat which is my favourite.
I absolutely love the result. Do you?
So what do you think of this look? Think you could get away with this french manicure for a job interview? I sure do. I think it adds interest and style to the standard and boring french manicure. I’ll have to run it by my most conservative friends (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) and see what they think.
Until next time.
