As a polish junkie and self proclaimed ‘nailphile’, I like to think that I’m fairly knowledgeable when it comes to nail polish. One of the things that I like to do when I discover a new brand, a new colour, or even a new finish, is imagine who would look best in the nail polish.

For example:

Is she a fashionista who loves sporting the newest trend?

Is she a classic woman who always looks her best?

Maybe she’s elegant and sophisticated?

You get the idea.

I had a great time testing and playing with Sally Hansen’s newest innovation Color Therapy and even tried out some fun nail art with the oil-infused polish. While I always love testing out new nail polish, I couldn’t help wonder – who is this nail polish for? With the addition of Color Therapy, Sally Hansen now has a number of main collections of nail polish:

  1. Miracle Gel
  2. Complete Salon Manicure
  3. Color Therapy!

That’s 3 different types of nail polish! How do you decide which one is best for you? That’s where I step in. I’ve created a simple guide featuring each of the nail polish collections in the hopes that you can easily determine which polish (or polishes if you fit in more than one category like me), works for you.Sally Hansen, Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Sally Hansen In Salon Manicure, Sally Hansen Color Therapy, Sally Hansen Argan Oil Complex, Sally Hansen Keratin Complex

We won’t all fit into one neat category every time we do our nails, but this is a good starting point to help determine the perfect nail polish for our desired manicure. It’s ok if one week you want to nourish & moisturize with Color Therapy, but the next week you’re feeling carefree and colourful and want to achieve a Complete Salon Manicure.  After all sometimes we like to indulge in a tiny bite of dark chocolate and other times someone might spot us heading to the McDonalds drive through for a chocolate shake (is that just me?).  For many of us our styles and desires change all the time and that’s ok because the best part about this Guide, is that now we can understand our options! Pssst – if you’re a Color Therapy Girl day in and day out – that’s great too!
