What are the two trends inspired by the runway that seem to be dominating all the spring and summer makeup collections? Nude and bronze! While bright neons will also make an appearance this summer (stay tuned), there is no doubt that neutrals and bronzes are HOT in beauty right now. From OPI’s soft shades, to essie’s bridal collection in nails, to neutral lips and eyeshadow palettes in makeup, the fresh faced, bronzed look is THE look.
Today I’m showing you one of my favourite new products from the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Limited Edition collection – the Shimmering Nudes Eyeshadow Palette.
The double-sided applicator works perfectly with the palette and is great for when you’re on the run, but I do prefer to use my own brushes.
Colours: Eight shimmery shades in total, five of the shades are pink/coppery toned neutrals, while the other three nudes are shimmery metallics that can be used to create more definition and depth. All eye shadows come in a soft pressed powder formula that isn’t chalky or dusty. One of the recommended ways to use the three metallic shades is to apply over a wet base for an even more intense colour (perfect if you need to change your makeup from day to a night). Probably the only dislike I have with this palette is that the eyeshadows are not named, so it makes it more difficult when reviewing them (not a problem when wearing them though).
All swatches above are shown over Urban Decay’s primer potion. I am honestly in love with all the shades. They have great pigmentation and can be blended together so easily. Perhaps the only shade that didn’t wow me like the others is the final darkest shade on the far right. While it is great for adding more depth to your look, but the shimmer factor is less intense than the other shadows.
If you’re feeling the need for a little extra luxury in your lift this summer, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Shimmering Nudes Eyeshadow Palette will not let you down.
