I always look forward to the time of year when essie releases its resort collection. Last year’s essie resort collection was pretty sweet, but this year’s hues might be even better.
Rebecca Minkoff, Global Color Designer for essie, designed this year’s essie resort collection with her ultimate fantasy destination in mind – India.
Sparkling like a mirrored jewel in my mind, India is at the top of my bucket list. Its incredible mix of colors and traditions – the sights, sounds, tastes and textures – call me with all the irrepressible joy of a Bollywood movie scene. I just can’t stop thinking about it – I’m obs-essied.
Above: nama-stay the night is an energetic Goa blue that I’ve been sporting for four days now.
Above: delhi dance is a silky sari pink that applies perfectly with just two coats.
Above: going guru is a meditative mint lime that I’m absolutely in love. Applies beautifully with two coats.
Above: taj-ma-haul is a spicy marigold apricot. If you’re looking for a colour that’s been all over the spring/summer runways – this is sefinitely the colour.
Some these colours are close dupes for other hues so see my comparisons below.
It’s rare that a nail polish collections get 5/5 but essie resort 2016 is pretty close. See my review below!
