If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that one of my favourite things is to swatch a new essie nail polish collection. When the essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes hit my desk before the holidays, I couldn’t wait to swatch them! Unfortunately 3 days before the holidays I threw my back out. It’s only today that my back finally feels good enough to hunch over and polish my nails. I somehow made it through the awkward photo taking positions too!
The essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes collection is a stunning ballet inspired collection. These six magnificently neutral, longwear shades from misty rose pink to soft shimmer gray, make us swoon over the elegant colours and high quality performance that claims to provide up to 14 days of wear (I haven’t tested this yet).
essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes embodies the supple strength of an elegant ballerina. Her choreographed twists and twirls mimic the beautiful bottle design and the patent-pending brush allows for precise application.
satin slipper is described by essie as a silky champagne ivory. The formula is superb. The hue has a bit of a yellow undertone. It looks more butter-like than champagne to me.
lace me up is described by essie as a misty rose pink. It is a stunning ballerina shoe pink.
hold the position is described by essie as a coral peach pink and I think this is an accurate description of my favourite in this collection. at the barre is described as a soft cinnamon nude. The coverage is beautiful with this perfect nude. It only requires one coat!perfect posture is a periwinkle powder blue that is another fav of mine in this collection.
closing night is a soft shimmer gray that covers beautifully in two thin coats.
essie never fails to impress and this collection is no exception. The beautiful bottle and gorgeous soft neutral tones of the gel couture collection makes me want to keep them on display for a dose of daily inspiration. Each shade is unique and covers beautifully. I haven’t had the time to test out the longevity of each polish because I wanted to get the swatches up asap.
What do you think of essie Gel Couture. Have you tried it? Will you be adding these beauties to your collection?
