It wasn’t too long ago that I told you the matte look is still high on the trend list when I showed you Zoya matte collection. In addition to their top selling matte about you matte topcoat, now one of my favorite nail polish brands, essie, has also launched their own matte collection – essie cashmere – a collection that is matte all on its own without the need of a specialty matte topcoat. Today, one lucky Canadian reader will get the chance to enter to win the full essie cashmere collection before it hits the stores January 2015 (sorry international peeps – don’t worry your chance for an amazing giveaway is coming very soon!).
You’ll see from the polish shades (and names of course) below, that the essie cashmere collection really does remind you of a luxurious cashmere sweater…doesn’t every girl need a cashmere sweater?
With a satin-matte finish the shades really do capture true elegance.
Coat Coutoure
My favorite in the collection, such a stunning deep purple shimmer with grey undertones. I would die for a cashmere sweater in this color!
Just Stitched
I think of ballerina pink when I see this shade. Soft and subtle who doesn’t want to be pretty in pink with just stitched?
Comfy in Cashmere
A gorgeous neutral that is actually a blend of mauve and violet undertones.
Spun in Luxe
Blue/black in tone with a slight blue shimmer (easily seen in the bottle and when you use a glossy top coat but more difficult to see as matte).
Wrap Me Up
Subtle, fresh cashmere meets freshly cleaned summer linen. What a cozy neutral.
All Eyes on Nudes
This camel nude is perfect for the all natural clean look. Don’t love wearing bold hues but want your nails to look clean and fresh? eyes on nude is the perfect hue.
The Verdict?
The essie cashmere collection has something for everyone in it. While they are a little more difficult to remove then regular polish (soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover and leave it on your fingers for 30 secs and removal is easy), the matte effect of these polishes makes it worth it. I love the colors that essie has chosen and I can really picture myself in a cashmere sweater in any one of these colors (hint hint husband…).
The Contest
I’ve teamed up with essie Canada to be able offer one lucky Canadian reader the opportunity to win your own essie cashmere collection (sorry international friends, your chance is coming very soon). To enter, please enter the rafflecopter below. The winner will be selected at random and given 24 hours to respond. Good luck!
Until next time,
