A collection dedicated to the wedding season? Yes please. essie has come out with six new stunning bridal shades dedicated to that special day. All you need is love, oh, and the perfect manicure of course. Don’t forget about the bridesmaids – they need great nails too.
Elegant and timeless, essie’s bridal 2015 collection has a mix of both sheers and creams that are perfect for any wedding day.
With a slight variation on sheers in this collection, the bride will be able to find the perfect hue to match her dress – from white, cream, vanilla, antique to blush, the possibilities are endless.
Note that all sheers below are shown over essie no ridge basecoat which essentially acts as a nail polish primer, and is perfect under a sheer polish. Think of it as putting on a foundation primer. I find sheer polishes really look better over top of this must-have basecoat.
(above: worth the wait)
essie bridal 2015 worth the wait is described by essie as a ‘coral-kissed pink’. The coral is very much understated as you can see from the photos. With the primer base coat, the polish looks a little less sheer in colour. So delicate and soft this is a stunner!
tying the knotie is described as a ‘sheer floral pink’. Who doesn’t love sheer pink? It’s such a romantic shade and would work perfectly for the bridesmaids or the bride.
hubby for dessert is described as a ‘sheer candied lilac’. Definitely by far my favourite in the essie bridal 2015 collection, this sheer lilac is literally gorgeous. In fact, once I finished swatching, I applied this colour right away and did some nail art (see on my instagram here).
happy wife happy life is described as a ‘radiant red orange’. Is it red, or is it orange? Who really knows but one thing is for certain – an essie collection wouldn’t be complete without a fierce red. Perhaps for the boldest of brides, or maybe for the adventurous bridesmaid, this colour is classic (and don’t forget, a bride needs her toes done too!).
brides to be is described as a ‘soft-spoken caramel blush’. There are certainly hints of soft caramel in this sheer polish. Another natural beauty. Remember this can look much more sheer without the ridge filling base coat, or just one coat but I don’t like the look as much.
brides no grooms is described as ‘bachelorette-bright pink’. Hello fuchsia – I love you. A classic hot pink that won’t let you down not matter how you wear it.
My response to essie Bridal 2015 collection? I do, because you had me at essie. This collection is beyond gorgeous. If anything, the names are probably the cutest I’ve seen in a while – I mean “tie the knotie”???? Hello cuteness. I love love love the essie bridal 2015 collection and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a second. If you have enough pinks and reds in your collection, don’t discount the soft sheer hues. They’re both sexy and sophisticated at the same time.
