CND has launched their Spring 2014 line. According to a recent press release:
Spring 2014 – Complement your spontaneous, carefree attitude this season with CND’s new spring 2014 Open Road Collection. Available at salons across Canada starting January 2014, these time-worn, effortlessly chic shades are offered in both CND Shellac and VINYLUX and can be combined with new CND Additives for true freedom of expression.
“The Open Road Collection inspires women to let their hair loose, put the top down and drive towards sunset” says CND co-founder Jan Arnold. “Living for the moment and wearing colors that reflect this attitude incites the need for adventure.”
Match your toes with your fingers with six VINYLUX Open Road shades that match the new CND Shellac shades: Powder My Nose, Sun Bleached, Desert Poppy, Clay Canyon, Mint Convertible and Sage Scarf.
Powder My Nose
Powder My Nose is a gorgeous beige off-white neutral that is so clean and chic. It’s just the perfect fresh color for that job interview or executive meeting. It would also look great a la J-Crew fashion style with jeans, a t-shirt and pearls. Love this with two coats, or three for perfect opacity.
Looking for the perfect pastel yellow? Look no further, CND Sun Bleached, meets everything you would want in a pastel yellow, without the problems of streaking and thin formula that other polishes this color often present. One of my favs in the collection and a must have if you’re missing pastel yellow in your collection. Shown here with two thin coats.
Desert Poppy is a stunning bright orange with a hint of orange/golden shimmer. Just the perfect color for spring and summer. Orange has really come back in fierce force amongst many spring and summer nail polish lines and CND’s version is definitely gorgeous.
Clay Canyon is probably the one color that disappoints slightly for me. The orangey/brown cream is not to my taste, however I can imagine it looking a lot better on people with a darker skin tone. I felt this color washed me out completely and doesn’t have anything new or special about it and feels a bit drab. Despite my opinion, the formula was consistent with the others and applied flawlessly in two thin coats.
Mint Convertible is definitely one of my favs – I love this creamy mint color! It’s perfect for spring and summer this season and would look great dressed up or down. This color will work really well with golds and blacks so I’m sure I’ll be playing with this very soon in some nail art.
Saving the best for last, Sage Scarf is the winner of the collection for me. A stunning teal, with the perfect grey undertone that could probably be worn by anyone, at any age. I just love this color.
Will Spend My Starbucks Money On:

- Sun Bleached (pastel yellow)
Might Miss One Starbucks This Week For:

- Powder My Nose (white neutral)
I’m Not Giving Up My Starbucks For:
