Did you know that Cinderella has had 13 movie adaptations since 2000?
This weekend, Walt Disney Pictures is looking to charm families around the globe with their live-adaptation of Cinderella. According to press, the new Cinderella movie is expected to to make between $100 and $120M at the box office debut.
Cinderella is probably one of my favourite Disney movies. Doesn’t every girl dream of meeting her “Prince Charming”? In celebration of the release of the movie, we decided on Cinderella nails for the first prompt for the March Nail Linkup.
I just received my first Trust Fund Beauty polish in “Beverly Thrills” which is a sparkly Cinderella blue so needless to say, I didn’t have to think too hard about the polish for these Cinderella nails.
Trust Fund Beauty is an indie brand polish that is 5-free, ships internationally, and has fantastic names (e.g. “I love my #selfie”, “Man Crush Monday” and “Daddy Issues”, to name a few). I haven’t tried any of the other colours, as this polish was a gift from a friend, but my interest has definitely been piqued!
For this design, I used pearl and diamonte studs as accents and attempted to paint Cinderella with acrylic paint. I really struggled with her face, as I just couldn’t get a brush small enough for the detail. I love shorter nails and all, but when it comes to painting images, having longer nails with a bigger canvas, is certainly an advantage.
I think these Cinderella nails are fun and certainly perfect for the release of the new movie! I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Until next time,
