The count is down for the final week (and a bit) of work (for most of us). I’m so excited for a much needed break from my good ole 9-5! Nail polish and make-up organization – here I come!
Today I’m showing you the final Holiday nail polish collection that I have to review: China Glaze Holiday 2014 – Twinkle. This collection has 12 unique polishes: 2 creams, 4 iridescents, 4 sparkly glitters and 1 white matte glitter topper.
The holiday season is dawned by sparkles and glitter galore, and China Glaze Holiday 2014 fits right in with these six glitter polishes (left to right: pine-ing for glitter, de-light, meet me under the stars, feeling twinkly, chillin’ with my snow-mies, dancing & prancing).
All polishes shown are with two coats and no topcoat.
Cream Polishes
Out Like a Light
A beautiful opaque charcoal grey perfect for a warm night by the fire.
Tip Your Hat
Every collection needs a creamy, classic red and for China Glaze Holiday 2014 – Tip Your Hat is it.
Iridescent Polishes
December to Remember
A stunning sea-like blue with micro pink/purple glitter.
Define Good…
An Iridescent cranberry shade that is perfect for Christmas dinner.
No Peeking!
A gorgeous modern eggplant with the perfect amount of shimmer for the fall and winter season.
I’d Melt for you
This silver/chrome color is like many silver polishes of it’s kind (think OPI push & shove…) in that you can really see brush strokes and any nail inpurities underneath so I recommend a base coat and only one coat of polish making polish strokes quick and accurate the first time. Don’t try to move the polish around, or you won’t be happy with the results.
Sparkly Glitter Polishes
De-Light
Love, love, love this gold and holographic mixed glitter. Shown here over no peeking, but could be worn as a topper over any polish.
Feeling Twinkly
This dark blue glitter is definitely a favorite of mine in the collection. Shown here over Out Like a Light, this polish is bright and sparkly and we all know how trendy blue is this season.
Pine-ing for Glitter
Another favorite of mine, this turquoise/green glitter is perfect for a party night. Shown here over I’d melt for you, I think it would look really cool over a black polish for a dramatic, evening effect.
Dancing & Prancing
This multi-color glitter is shown here over Tip Your Hat for a real holiday look but I think would look beautiful over a nude!
Meet me Under the Stars
This is a holographic glitter in a black base and is shown here on its own with two thicker coats. This polish is a little more challenging to remove, so I would recommend a peel off base coat for easy removal because the polish is worth it!
Chillin’ with my Snow-mies
This multi-sized white snowflake glitter is the perfect winter polish if you want to wear snowflakes on your nails and don’t want to take the time for nailart! Shown here over December to Remember.
What’s the Verdict?
