Chevrons are a fantastic pattern that can be used to accent almost anything in your life (chevron patterned carpets, chevron tops, chevron jewelry and of course chevron nail art). I’ve been hearing great things about Nail Vinyls (i.e. tape that has been pre-cut in various shapes to use in creating nail art) and I finally had the opportunity to test drive them for myself.
For my chevron nail art, I chose a purple and black theme and used a number of essie polishes to create final look:
- bond with whomever
- DJ play that song
- big spender
- no place like chrome
I also picked up some fun metallic nail art studs from Forever21 that I used as accents as well.
Here is a quick video on how I actually created the chevron nail art.
As far as the chevron nail vinyls go? They were extremely easy to use. As long as you ensure your nails are completely dry before putting them on (I always use a fast drying top coat to speed up the process) and ensuring the polish over the nail vinyls is still wet when you pull them off – then they are fabulous! Honestly, I’ve tried cutting scotch tape and have problems with polish seeping under the tape. I loved these nail vinyls and will definitely be trying them again.
I love how my chevron nail art turned out. Edgy, but trendy at the same time.
Until next time,
