It’s approaching the end of October, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t write a post acknowledging the importance of breast cancer awareness month. My mom died of breast cancer at the young age of 39 so supporting the cause is always something that will be close to my heart. When thinking of my mom – I have memories of her long oval nails fashioning that perfect red polish (her best friend recently told me the colour was called “Teddy Bear”). Thinking about ways I could show my support this month I thought – what better tribute to breast cancer awareness month than to create my own personal accent with breast cancer awareness nail art!

Below are some of the designs I created and I’m really loving them all. Which one is your favourite?

Not Into Fancy Nail Art or Just Don’t Have the Time?

You don’t have to do fancy nail art to show your support. You can always treat yourself to one of the new fabulous limited edition breast cancer awareness pinks collections by either OPI or Essie (great pinks for all year round). Buying one of these polishes not only satisfies many of our feel good endorphins when we buy a new polish (I didn’t just say that did I?) but both OPI and Essie are making a large donation towards breast cancer awareness.

Don’t have time or want to spend the money on a new polish? That’s ok – show your support by polishing your nails any old pink you have lying around.

Show your support and paint your nails PINK!
