Every day I need to remind myself how lucky I am to be where I am in life. Though I struggle with depression, I’ve managed to create a life around me that I can be proud of – I live in a beautiful house, I have a job and, for the most part (aside my depression), I’m healthy. Unfortunately there are many women who are not as lucky as me and that’s why I want to make you aware of the fantastic campaign that Benefit Cosmetics is launching – Bold is Beautiful Project.
What is Bold Is Beautiful Project?
Bold Is Beautiful Project is a global program that empowers women and girls to have big dreams and bold moves. Every country that Bold is Beautiful Project is running in, has partnered with local charities dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment through women’s education, access to wellness, and financial self-sufficiency.
Who Does Benefit Canada Partner With?
In Canada, Benefit has partnered with two charities:
Look Good, Feel Better is Canada’s only charitable cancer program dedicated to empowering women to manage the effects that cancer and its treatment can have on their appearance.
Women Build is Habitat for Humanity’s program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities. This program brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide.
How Can You Help?
For the entire month of May, Benefit will donate EVERY DOLLAR from Brow Wax Services to these charities. Many cosmetic companies partner with charities and donate a portion of their sales, but Benefit is donating 100% of the cost of a brow wax! Isn’t that fantastic? So get out there and get your brows waxed! If you follow me on snapchat (Nailthataccent1), you will have seen me get my brows waxed a couple of weeks ago. Benefit does an amazing job of using ‘brow mapping’ to achieve the perfect wax. The cost? $24 and remember that all $24 will be going to the charities listed above (split 50/50).
Where Can I Get a Brow Wax?
All Sephoras have a Benefit Brow Bar and if you are in Toronto, there is one standalone boutique too!
