Azature Black Diamond Nail Lacquer
In 2012, jewelry designer Azature became known as the “Black Diamond King” when he created the world’s most expensive bottle of nail polish containing 267 carats of black diamonds (the symbol of eternal love and empowerment). So how much did this nail polish go for? The pricey polish could have been yours for the reasonable price of $250,000!
Lucky us, because now Azature has a full line of consumer-friendly black diamond nail lacquers which retail at a more reasonable price of $14.00 USD. The luxurious concept of the polish remains, because now each polish contains one hand-placed black diamond (yes really). The bottles are also shaped to replicate a diamond in their faceted shape.
My favourite of the six polishes I tried is definitely this stunning, sprarkly blue – Azature Blue.
This is the perfect blue polish that is seriously eye-catching. The best part? If you can believe it, this opacity was reached with one coat!
Azature Pink is a beautiful pink sparkly polish.
Shown here without topcoat to show you the true sparkle, Azature Pink is a true beauty.
I combined the pink with Azature White Diamond, a white cream polish, in this fun nail art look. This is the only cream polish I tested, but I was really impressed. The white dried quickly and only required two coats (which is uncommon for a white cream polish). I added some Kiss Nail Decals on top which I thought gave the manicure a fun look.
Azature Red is a festive red sparkly polish which is also extremely opaque (another one coater!). I think this hue is perfect for fall and the up coming Holiday season. Check out the golden flecks in the bottle! Stunning!
If you’re looking for a new sparkly gold, Azature Champagne is a multi-dimensional mixture of golden sparkle. These pictures (below) don’t do the polish justice because when sunlight hits your fingertips, watch out!
This polish required more coats (3) to build up the opacity.
Last but not least, the polish I had the highest hopes for, but that really dissapointed compared to the amazingness of the others, is Azature Black. While apparently you can layer this grey jelly to create more opacity, the swatches here show 3 thick coats and it was already way too thick. I suppose I could have let each coat dry longer before applying the next coat, oh well.
I definitely think it would look great over a black cream polish, and I’ve seen some swatches with four coats, but I mean how thick do you want your nails to look?
I’m so in love with all of these Azature polishes (aside from the issues I had with Black Diamond) that I can’t wait to incorporate them more with my nail art. Also perfect on their own, I’ve already received many compliments on the crazy sparkle and I mean, who doesn’t want to wear diamonds on their nails?
